Whitney & Brandon | View Point at Buckhorn Creek | DJ & Photo Booth

As wedding DJ's, we celebrate with many couples every year. There is always that one couple that stands out from the crowd. The couple that is full of life and love. Whitney & Brandon is that couple. They live busy lives but they live them to the fullest. Brandon's adventurous hobby is flying planes while Whitney is an avid horseback rider. Like their personal lives, Whitney & Brandon wanted their wedding day to be full of fun and love and the details are to the T. It began with their venue, View Point at Buckhorn Creek. View Point is a beautifully designed space with unobstructed views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is only minutes away from Greenville, SC. Whitney & Brandon included personalized details like a plane prop as a decor on their dessert table, a favorite childhood paper origami game as wedding programs, and a barrel bourbon sealing element in their ceremony. Take a look below at all of these details and more!

Ashley & Mark | Zen | Greenville, SC Wedding DJ

Ashley & Mark | Zen | Greenville, SC Wedding DJ

Ashley & Mark met one evening while attending Western Kentucky University. It was your classic football player & cheerleader love story. After Mark graduated, he moved back to SC. Not long after that, Ashley followed Mark to the Palmetto State where they decided to start a family & get married. Being that the couple had family coming in from all over, Ashley & Mark decided to hold their wedding reception at Zen- An Elegant Space for Hire. With its modern but classic style, it is the perfect blank canvas to make your own.  Zen is located in downtown Greenville, within walking distance to many hotels & shops that guests can visit while in town. Another enticing aspect about Zen is that you are able to choose from many different caterers and vendors for your day. Mark's side of the family is VERY Italian. The couple wanted to pay tribute to this, so they hired Luna Rosa to bring in their homemade Gelato. This was a fun & delicious personalized aspect to their day. We would like to thank Ashley & Mark for choosing Uptown Entertainment as their DJ. They, like all couples, have several choices in the area. However, music was an important part of the day to Ashley & Mark, and they knew with Uptown Entertainment they would receive nothing but the best and most professional services. Thank you to all of the wedding pros that helped make this day magical for Ashley & Mark!

"Family: Where Life Begins and Love Never Ends." - Unknown

Chris & Courtney meet while attending PA school. During an evening out with classmates, they struck up a conversation and quickly realized they had a lot in common. Their core beliefs of family, faith, & football laid a strong foundation in their relationship that helped it grow into what it is today. Chris & Courtney each have multiple siblings they are close with. With their marriage, they knew that they were not only joining as one but they were joining a family together. Due to that, it was important that both their faith & family were an integral into their day. They chose the beautiful Glassy Mountain Chapel as the backdrop for their wedding day. After their nuptials, family and friends traveled down the mountain to The Cliffs Valley Clubhouse for food, laughter, & dancing. Uptown Entertainment had the privilege of providing the soundtrack for their night as well as a fun, interactive photo booth. Thank you to all of the vendors who helped make Chris & Courtney's day everything they dreamed of.

Leah & Alex | The Cliffs at Keowee Vineyard Lakehouse

Every couple has a story. How they met, where their first date was, stories of their adventures together and eventually how they knew the other person was the one. At Uptown, we believe in getting to know these stories. We could simply ask for a list of songs the couple would like played, but instead we choose to learn about our couples and then customized a soundtrack for their day. Leah & Alex's story goes way back as they are high school sweethearts. After almost 10 years together, they celebrated their wedding day at Glassy Mountain Chapel & At the Cliffs at Keowee Vineyards Lakehouse. When we meet with Leah & Alex they said they wanted their day to be fun & energetic. One way they decided to accomplish that was by taking the traditional dances and jazzing them up a bit. We worked with them to create the perfect mixes for each special dance. Take a look below at all the fun of Leah & Alex's September wedding!

Ashley & Josh's Wedding DJ | Candler, NC | The Farm

As an entertainment vendor, you can typically find us behind a DJ booth picking out the next tune or helping a guest decide on the perfect photo booth accessory. We do not often have the opportunity to be a part of earlier in the day as our couples are getting ready to walk down the aisle or have a chance to see all the magical moments that occur before everyone hits the dance floor. But then, the photographer sends us the pictures and we get to relive every piece of the day. The best photos are the ones that you can feel the moments through as if they are happening in real time. Sposa Bella's photos of Ashley & Josh's wedding day do just that. You can feel the beautiful October day in Candler, NC and you can see the love and happiness that seems engulf every shot. This awesome couple filled their day with elements that fit them to a tee. Take a scroll through and experience Ashley & Josh's wedding day at a Rustic Elegant Event Venue called The Farm.

We just LOVE celebrating love. Emily and Carson's wedding was truly a celebration of just that. Not to mention, it was a blast! From planning to the actual wedding day, we had the best time with these two. Not only were they great, but the various wedding pros they chose were so great. Special thanks to everyone who made Emily and Carson's wedding celebration the success that it was. Here are some of favorite moments from their day.

Katie Cotton with Cotton Rouge and Company rocked out Emily's hair and makeup for the big day. She and her entire crew of skilled pros always do an awesome job! Not only are they awesome at making you look like the best version of yourself, they do it quickly which is quite important on your wedding day.

Emily and her mom embracing right before the ceremony began. I just love the cropping on this one! Great job John!

Carson and his groomsmen were definitely a good time. These guys know how to have a great time!

For us, there's nothing like a fun, powerful grand introduction of our couple. Emily and Carson's was so much fun!

Their first dance was quite special. I think you can tell that by the look on Carson's face.

"La Vie En Rose" by Louis Armstrong was the soundtrack to their first dance. What a classic tune!

Heartland's "I Loved Her First" is still a perfect song for a Father/Daughter dance.

Carson and his mom went with another classic, "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd for their special dance.

Gigi's killed it with this beautiful cake & cupcake display. Not only did they look awesome, but they tasted even better.

Now that's a ring shot!

We always strive to have guests of all ages packing out the dance floor.

Wait for it...

Carson got tricked!

He got iced! Emily had a Smirnoff Ice in her garter for the ultimate gag on her new hubby.

Here's to Emily and Carson...the Smiths!!! Thanks for letting us help you celebrate your wedding day!

Carina & Ray's Wedding | Westin Poinsett | Greenville, SC | Wedding DJ

Carina & Ray's Wedding | Westin Poinsett | Greenville, SC | Wedding DJ

Who does not love a beautiful, sunny October day in South Carolina?! Carina & Ray got the perfect weather for their wedding at the Westin Poinsett in downtown Greenville. They gave us the opportunity to provide their playlist for ceremony as well reception.

Prior to ceremony Davey Morgan with Davey Morgan Photography took Carina & Ray down to Falls Park to capture the couple in some of Greenville’s iconic locations.

The Westin’s Gold Ballroom was the location for ceremony & reception. While guests were at cocktail hour on the Mezzanine, the Westin’s staff flipped the space to reception. Carina & Ray asked Uptown to provide uplighting for the room to really help differentiate the reception from the ceremony.

Carina & Ray chose the song “Time After Time” by Rod Stewart for their first dance.

Another iconic location in Greenville is the Westin’s Rooftop sign. If you get married at the Westin, you are allowed to take pictures in front of the sign on your wedding night!

Their amazing group of family & friends stay on the dance floor all night!

We worked with an awesome group for their wedding. We couldn't have done it without all of you.

McKenzie and Anton’s Wedding | Cigar Warehouse

McKenzie and Anton’s Wedding | Cigar Warehouse

We recently had the pleasure of providing the DJ and Photo Booth for McKenzie and Anton's wedding in  downtown Greenville, SC at The Old Cigar Warehouse. It was a blast and to top it off, we even got to see some snow!

McKenzie & Anton met in Charleston, SC during McKenzie’s Senior year at the College of Charleston. Anton had recently moved to Charleston after accepting a job with Boeing. After two years together, the two decided to get married in January at the Old Cigar Warehouse here in Greenville. Like many of our couples, McKenzie & Anton decided to do a first look prior to their ceremony.

Cigar Warehouse’s own Sara Kate orchestrated McKenzie’s visions for the reception with burgundy linens to match the winter colors of the wedding. We loved all of the personal details that decided to include in their special day.

After their grand entrance down Cigar’s beautiful staircase. McKenzie & Anton decided to play "Die a Happy Man" by Thomas Rhett for their first dance as husband and wife.

Art Eats Bakery did a beautiful job of pulling the theme of the wedding even through to the cupcake display.

McKenzie & Anton decided to give their guests some additional entertainment with our enclosed photo booth.  We worked with the couple to design a customize photo strip that their guests could cherish as mementos of the day.

Right before McKenzie and Anton made their glow stick exit from the reception, it began to snow. The snow made a picture perfect ending to their January reception.

Special thanks to all of the super talented wedding vendors that helped make their wedding so fun and special.
