1. Can I meet my DJ ahead of time ? Yes, Uptown Entertainment does not sub-contract to other DJ's or DJ companies. So the DJ/MC you meet from our fully trained staff will be the person at your event. If the selected package is a wedding reception, a meeting with your DJ/MC, you, and your fiance will be scheduled approximately four weeks before the wedding date to completely customize your reception .
2. Do I need to provide you with any items? No, we only need access to one electrical outlet and approximately a 10 ft by 10 ft space next to the dance floor. We bring the party, our own tables, table clothes and any other items needed.
Yes, we can do any outside function and even provide our own overhead covering. Of course we always advise you to make inclement weather plans if at all possible.
4. Can I choose specific music for my event? Yes, you can choose specific songs or categories of music ahead of time, but are not limited to those choices. We bring all of our music selections and complete request books to every event so you and your guests can request songs at any time. We also have our songs in our laptop database to assist you and your guests in searching for your favorite songs.
5. Do you charge for set-up or breakdown time? No, you are only charged for scheduled event time. At the end of your scheduled time, you may elect to continue on an hourly basis. Uptown Entertainment will arrive approximately 90 minutes before your event time and will also breakdown in approximately 30 minutes at no additional charge to you.

Due to the volume of calls, all dates are on a first come first serve basis. A 25% deposit must be received in order to secure your date. Once your date is secured, Uptown Entertainment will not double book your DJ/MC team on that date. They will be available for additional hours of service if you choose to extend the event.
We print ALL of our music by category and place them in request books located at the DJ booth. Throughout the event we encourage guests to find their song and write it down on the request sheet
